Date: May 20, 2025

The Liberal Democracy of Raufmania has officially submitted its first application to the Grand Unified Micronational (GUM), seeking Observer State status within the prestigious intermicronational organization.

President Nadav Raufman, along with his administration, confirmed the application early this morning. The government of Raufmania expressed its strong desire to connect with other peaceful and democratic micronations, expand diplomatic ties, and learn from the wider micronational community.

In a statement, President Raufman said, “Raufmania is committed to peace, education, and global friendship. We believe joining GUM as an observer is the first step toward deeper cooperation and responsible diplomacy.”

The application includes details of Raufmania’s foundation, territory in Ramat HaSharon, and its leadership structure, including Vice President Boaz Raufman, Governor, and Minister of Education Sara Raufman. The government emphasized its democratic values, monthly elections, and cultural roots in Romania and Poland.

If accepted, Raufmania will attend GUM meetings as a non-voting Observer State, learning the operations of the organization and preparing for potential future advancement to full membership.

The people of Raufmania view this application as a milestone in the nation’s development and a proud moment of stepping onto the international micronational stage.

More updates to come as GUM reviews the application.
